HARNESSING A STORM

CULTURE CAFÉ

An ideas-packed morning of caffeinated debate.

Interested in the world around you?

Leading artists, thinkers and activists set provocations and open up conversations between you and others around the breakfast table.

Inspired by our programme, these discussions are open to everyone.

In the face of today’s inequalities, how can we disrupt privilege and empower difference?

Featuring Project O (Alexandrina Hemsley and Jamila Johnson-Small), artists presenting ‘O’ as part of IBT New Bloods, in which they explore the politics of identity; Prof. Tariq Modood, founding Director of the University of Bristol’s Research Centre for the Study of Ethnicity and Citizenship, and MBE awardee for services to social sciences and ethnic relations in the UK; and Asher Craig, co-founder & chair of the Black Development Agency and long-term Advocate specializing in individual and institutional change across education, training and skills, and mental health.

Culture Café is a series of three morning sessions:

Friday 13 Feb – Living with Uncertainty

Sat 14 Feb – Harnessing A Storm

Sun 15 Feb - Heroes in the Aftermath

This show is now SOLD OUT. Join us for Opening Night with Nacera Belaza, book your space in The Storm art party and find out more about our work in Producers as International Change Makers.
